Hi Peter,
Yeah, some of the functions for using DirectX also have long names that you
need to use. I mostly copy and paste stuff like that. I guess that part of my
keeping variable names short is to keep down the amount of typing as well as
the length of the programming lines. I don't like
Hi Michael,
Your steering wheel is like a standard joystick in that any game that supports
a joystick your steering wheel will work with it. It may though be kind of
funky to play it that way if it is not a driving game.

Hi,
I don't have a firsthand answer for you I'm afraid because I haven't
scraped together enough pennies for my iPhone yet, but in case you
weren't already aware of it there's a dedicated iPhone list it would
definitely be worth asking about this. It can be found at

Hi Michael,
Well, a steering wheel is basically a type of joystick. The same code to
support a joystick or game pad will also support a steering wheel, but
if you aren't using a game specifically targeting a steering wheel the
input will be rather weird. That said, there are a few accessible
Hi Charles,
Yeah, I tend to agree with you about Aliens in the Outback. I can get no
lander bonuses in Wave 5, but I can't get one in Wave 4. It is like
waves 1 through 3 build up to Wave 4 and then it starts getting easier
again. Interesting, but I've never thought of it that way before.
Which I must point out, is pretty much like Miriani. Only difference
is theme. So if you don't like, say, Miriani's space system, you won't
like Cosmos.

best put that is only my opinion. cosmos is cool outside of the combat

I will be posting an email introductor-ing, as it were, the NEW Cosmos. In
Cosmos, we made alot of mistakes, that were very little at first, but slowly
affected the entire game.
The combat has been improved. We have a plot, and there are new ships. We
also have a new sound pack, thanks to
Good news. I've done some poking around an I've found an open-source Train Sim.
It's called Open BVE. The main menu is the most accessible of the Train Sims
I've tried.
Here's my rundown. Keep in mind this is days old in my head, so it hasn't been
fleshed out much.

I personally think miriani is lame. You spend three quarters of your time
fending off annoying, so-called space pirates who think they need to get in
a virtual pissing contest with anyone who blinks at them funny to prove a
point, or mess with someone just cause they feel like it. If I wanted
well there is spoorsim.
although they really didn't develop it and it was prity boring, yeah you could
control the train somewhat but whats the point if you just go round, back and
forth.
with no real missions, etc.
I can take off in fs2002 and just fly round and not land or anything and just
I'll check out OpenBVE. I believe it has missions. Freight and passenger.
Cheers,
