Ok I see what you mean but I just don't find it too different from most other muds. I'm always stuck at story 2. hmm wander if someone is going to put the entire game play up of all the stories and some stratogies. I sure as heck need them. Navigation is hard enough without these balls. They actually sound like rocket launchers. Also on reviews, is there any way to make totalrecorder work when recording say a game through the wave out mix? The sound stutters and such like mad. When I play the file back I get stutters and static with the sounds. I got tc because its real accessible and has internal drivers, etc but I am getting bad things from it wnen recording. [Audyssey] jim's concentration game
HI jim I have noticed something. One of the prizes in the grid seems to be 75 dollars In hard cash. Sappi will sayh for example Worth 75 dollars. While with all the other prizes it will first say the prize and then the amount such as: Can of cream corn worth 1 dollar. I looked in the concentration.dat file, I haven't added 75 without a prize. Have you included this 75 dollars as a cash prize or is the concentration file corrupt? Nothing major, I enjoy the game a lot. I think there's a few type of mudders out there. For example: hack and slashers, go to Mume or Alter Aeon. For hardCore roleplayers, find a mush, etc because usually I think that's most that goes on there. Also Achaea, Achaea rocks but to be honest, I haven't found anything to do on that game. If you want a good IronReamls game, lasternia would have to be my game. I guess I won't get into what it's like as I'd have to change the entire subject, but I'll say that when I logged on, joined a guild and got seddled, they lead me to a mob teacher to learn my skills from. i didn't like the druid stuff on Achaea; every time I wanted to learn a skill: Did you read the scrolls? i say yess, because I do, and then they quizz me on it. Like Lasternia, they have the scrolls, it's nice to read them, but at least with me, I wasn't quizzed on a stupid help file. Plus, with muds, I have an extremely hard time remembering where things are, even if they aren't far away. I'm often made fun of for it, but what can I do? That's me, I suppose. Like on discworld, I have extreme troubles on that mud. I mean, going back to IR and lasternia again, yes, they have guild requirements for acomplishing certain ranks etc like till your off the probation just like Achaea, but in Lasternia I seemed to get more help. Hmm, is there a mudding list where people discuss certain muds? If so i'd love to get on one, start one, or something. I know many people aren't a fan of mudding here, but I am and that's really all I do while waiting for hopefully bigger and better audio games to come out. But, as Ian did say, yes, there are better muds out there than Alter, and I personally don't play it because of this reason, and I agree with Zack. [Audyssey] Technoshock question -haven't responded in a while
Hi folks. My name is Chris. I've been lurking on here for a while, but haven't posted on a while. I've been playing Technoshock and have a little question. I'd like to know how to find the terminal in Storey 2. I actually did it once and made it to Storey 3, but saved the wrong games by mistake and had to start over. Now I'm stock in the room with the blames and the prison doors just off the main room where the pit is. I think the entrance to the terminal room is in that area, but can't find it. Well if you're having difficulty getting around in muds you could try nodeka which is a fascinating quest filled mud with realistic characters and great players. There is a map that always appears over the latest description of where ever you are that allows you to look around that zone with less difficulty. The maps are similar to nethack maps if you understand those the only thing is it's a little annoying listening to your speech reader reading out the map before describing the area so you can turn off the auto map and call it up when ever you like with the map command. Hi, A long time ago in the early 90s when I was still a kid playing with my laptop and MS-DOS and ASAP for DOS, I came across a text adventure game called island. It consisted of one file, island.exe. Anyway you had a certain amount of time to get off the island before the storm came and there were headhunters and items you had to collect to complete the game. I never did complete it. Anyone remember this game? And is there a winfrotz version of the island game I'm mentioning? or can it be played with jaws7 or jaws8 in a windows xp DOS box? I think there's a few type of mudders out there. For example: hack and slashers, go to Mume or Alter Aeon. For hardCore roleplayers, find a mush, etc because usually I think that's most that goes on there. Also Achaea, Achaea rocks but to be honest, I haven't found anything to do on that game. If you want a good IronReamls game, lasternia would have to be my game. I guess I won't get into what it's like as I'd have to change the entire subject, but I'll say that when I logged on, joined a guild and got seddled, they lead me to a mob teacher to learn my skills from. i didn't like the druid stuff on Achaea; every time I wanted to learn a skill: Did you read the scrolls? i say yess, because I do, and then they quizz me on it. Like Lasternia, they have the scrolls, it's nice to read them, but at least with me, I wasn't quizzed on a stupid help file. Plus, with muds, I have an extremely hard time remembering where things are, even if they aren't far away. I'm often made fun of for it, but what can I do? That's me, I suppose. Like on discworld, I have extreme troubles on that mud. I mean, going back to IR and lasternia again, yes, they have guild requirements for acomplishing certain ranks etc like till your off the probation just like Achaea, but in Lasternia I seemed to get more help. For the life of me though, I can't stop jaws from reading my commands as I input them. Ugg. You do that by slaying monsters, doing trade runs, which on my first try netted me 300 gold and I was verry happy about that, there's various events that happen that groups take part in throughout the day, and you make friends, you can even go shipping when you're in a clan that's fun... Nial: what clan you in, if any? I just got accepted into I think it was clan 23. You should showclan 23 and look for the leaders name to join us if you aren't. Pretty new. I think we've only got 23 so far, it requires about 50 or more I believe. If your still in the newbie clan, I say leave and join us, as that clan doesn't really give you grouping support. Yeah they'll help you, but I like real clans since you always know the people in them, and you make friends. Heck, I was in this guys clan within like ten minutes of forming with him. I think there's a few type of mudders out there. For example: hack and slashers, go to Mume or Alter Aeon. For hardCore roleplayers, find a mush, etc because usually I think that's most that goes on there. Also Achaea, Achaea rocks but to be honest, I haven't found anything to do on that game. If you want a good IronReamls game, lasternia would have to be my game. I guess I won't get into what it's like as I'd have to change the entire subject, but I'll say that when I logged on, joined a guild and got seddled, they lead me to a mob teacher to learn my skills from. i didn't like the druid stuff on Achaea; every time I wanted to learn a skill: Did you read the scrolls? i say yess, because I do, and then they quizz me on it. Like Lasternia, they have the scrolls, it's nice to read them, but at least with me, I wasn't quizzed on a stupid help file. Plus, with muds, I have an extremely hard time remembering where things are, even if they aren't far away. I'm often made fun of for it, but what can I do? That's me, I suppose. Like on discworld, I have extreme troubles on that mud. I mean, going back to IR and lasternia again, yes, they have guild requirements for acomplishing

I wasn't able to get that far. This game is public domain, thats good to know. When audiogamemaker comes out I may try to code this. First though I need something or someone to translate the source to psudo text describing clearly what every thing does. I don't understand c.
