I have not purchased this yet, but based on the description, I probably
will. Enjoy...

Hi all,

Very nice game for $2.99 for the iPhone/iPod Touch. Completely sound
driven, just turn VoiceOver off via the triple click Home button
function and enjoy the trip.

Best game I've played on the iPhone to date.

Url for the game follows:

http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/aurifi/id370383663?mt=8

Sent from my iPhone

Hi Bryce,

It's not working for me. I select Java and Create a New Character but when
I select Go Play, nothing gets saved in Notebook, so I'm dead in the water.
Right now, I'm trying to get some answers from Tech Support about running
the Java client. I tried it about five years ago and gave up, even though
my computer had the right version of Java and everything. Do you have any
suggestions?

One more thing too, I forgot to mention but I guess it sort of pertains

server is also in the file with the key.

Hey, thanks for all of this. I just don't understand what you mean by

Oh yes, well that's what I meant. When you select Wizard and hit Go Play, a

Hmmm. Well, this is what I would say, if you have the wizard client and that
downloaded, open it up in internet explorer and use wizard to create your

Thanks for all the responses foks. The version of street fighter we'l be

how much further Yohandy and I have taken this than most people here, but I

[Audyssey] Gamer Chat Seven Central tomorrow.

2010-07-30 Thread Orin
Hello everyone,

Me and a friend decided to have a gamer chat over the phone via a conference
system. Topics can be anything related to gaming for the blind as well as
general games you've played. You can talk about console games you've played or
have played in the passed, audio games, arcade games, to Interactive Fiction,
Browser Based and mudding games.

If anyone's interested, and please note long distance charges unfortunately
apply, email me off list so we can get a count of the participants, of which
there is a limit of 150, and also so you can get the information.

My email is orin8...@gmail.com
Hope to see some people get back to me from this list, and feel free to spread
it around websites and lists elsewhere. For those of you on the Mac list, the
discussion may lean towards iPhone games; it's what we make of it.

Thanks,

I'm not going to cover that ground again. Although, for some reason I
don't recall having draw/holster asigned to d. If I did that was
probibly when I was experimenting with various keyboard layouts, and
trying different things on for size. However, w ended up being my
choice for draw/holster as it is easy to remember because weapon
begins with the letter w. Make sense?

The reason I assigned draw/holster to w is I thought that would make

Hi,
Yes, it is. Plus if you keep your hands on the home row, as I dew, it
puts all the keyboard commands in easy reach. With the right hand i,
j, k, l moves you around and with the left hand you can press a, s, d,
f, r, and w which performs a lot of actions too. So it is all in easy
reach and makes sense. I’m really happy with the layout as it is now.

Re: [Audyssey] Fw: competetive street fighter

2010-07-30 Thread clement chou
Right. First off, I'm proposing team talk as the lcient of choice, because
of the sound quality. Now, I'm curious to know... does anyone know of a good
way to stream audio through TT without using stereo mix with one soundcard?
Because the audio is going to ome through, but then everyone is going to
hear their own voices. So unless everyone has no problem with that... throw
out a few ideas. as to a date, what does everyone interested think?

Just to add on to Yohandy's earlier statement. A lot of people are indeed
mising out. Even a lot of the people who play mainstream games and say that
MK kicks SF's ass. This is an old debate, but I'm going to bring it up for a
minute. A lot of people appreciate MK for the audio, the gore and the
action. While that is true, I think that people haven't given SF that much
attention because of how complex the system is. However, it's necessary to
note that Street Fighter is what is known as a competetive fighter. I think
that if people start paying more atention to SF, there could be something
interesting results. Granted, MK is good, and I'm excited for MK 9. But I've
always given a bit of an edge to SF because of the competetive aspect and
how deep the gameplay system is. As a fighting game buddy of mine from home
likes to say, SF is easy to pick up and learn, but very difficult to
master. SF 4 was the one that peaked my interest in SF again. But since
then, it's been great, and I'm excited to see what people walk away with
after the conference.

This is an awesome idea man! I actually considered this a while back, but
never thought people would show interest. I'm excited to realize that I was
wrong about this and people really seem to like the idea. you guys have no
clue what you're missing with some of these mainstream games until you
actually start playing and experimenting. Where street fighter games are
concerned, I consider the games totally accessible. I say this with complete

confidence, as I've completed all trials for both Super and vanilla SF4 with

no sighted assistance and gotten my platinum trophies. You'll need a bit of
patience especially if you've never played mainstream games to really start
getting how things work, but trust me it's not hard at all if you're willing

to learn. Clement, you had any particular day in mind when we should do
this? and when are those folks interested available? I can't wait to get
started!

Thanks for all the responses foks. The version of street fighter we'l be
using, I should clarify, is super street fighter IV on the ps3. I don't
know how much further Yohandy and I have taken this than most people here,

but I know we've put tons of time into the game. I wouldn't call mysef a
tournament level player, but I think all of us have the potential to be
 competetive players.

Re: [Audyssey] Fw: competetive street fighter

2010-07-30 Thread clement chou
You guys won't need it unless you want to follow around in training mode.
Yohandy and I will have it on, because we'll most likely be sparring while
we explain things.

As for the ps3 not having enough good games out for it, I think I have to
dey that. Not counting the awesome releases like MK 2 and a remade street
fighter 2 turbo, there's a lot of other games. A few dragogn ball games,
naruto, Tekken 6, Blazblue which is a completely new entry but an awesome
one into the genre. Not to mention heavenly sword, rock band, and so on. But
fortunately you'll already have a ps3 where you're living, so you'll only
have to look for games. But I'd recommend looking into it, especially if you
have someone sighted around to help you play the games.

Lol I love main stream games Im just very behind on the times, cause I
won't get a ps3, not enough good games in my opinion have come out for it,
but where I'm moving to the person has a ps3, and I already gaught street
fighter 4, I just have to get it from my friends house who lives really
far

away lol.
We aren't going to need it for this tutorial thing are we? Cause I don't
think I could get my copy back in time.
