Not saying that focusing on powers is a bad thing, but I should probably
warn you that the game will get really tough later on. I think about Proving
Grounds 4 was when the GM started adding magic resistant enemies, some of
them are very nearly immune and extremely difficult to beat with magic.

The sword of Merzekk is in fact hte Rusty Longsword, but since you don't
have the three gems it doesn't have its power yet. But if you have one of
the gems (they're cloudy blue), and use one
Those aren't the right gems then. If they're small and blak they aren't from
the Silver Crest adventure. Those are from the Runeskin prelude scenarios.
Like I said, the gems for the Sword of Merzekk are Cloudy Blue Gemstones.

rume in the headquarters of the Silver Crest, i am also going into the rume,
but still i cant find the way to open this things.

you need the skill of Lore to open these books. When you have it, just try
to use the skill when you are in the room.
If you don't have it, you can get in the adventurers collective in Thritik.
