I just got Killer Instinct for the Xbox one and need some help.
Is there a guide that will explain the menus layout and the character 
select screen?

I have Silver dollar for mac.
A few years ago I heard that you can play Christmas whoop ass instead 
of the normal Whoop ass game on Silver dollar.

Can someone please tell me how to play the Christmas game on Silver dollar?

Try disabling your internet connection when you open the program for the first 
time. I had to do this once because I kept getting a message that the developer 
certificate expired. Silly Apple and their trusted developer certificates and 
App Store limitations. Anyway, you should be able to run the game normally 
after going through this process. I think it saves a file somewhere once the 
game loads for the first time verifying that it works. Alternatively, you could 
try bringing up the context menu with VO shift M and choose open.

[Audyssey] Help playing the blind sword's man.

Hello.

I am running Mac siera.
I have been trying to get the blind sword's man to play but it keeps 
saying to move to the trash.

I have disable the gatekeeper which will allow me to open apps from anywhere.
Can someone please help to to get this game running on my Mac?

kinds of things for the mac.  I've had some trouble with my hosting 
companies over the last year or so, so not much has happened, plus a 
backup of the site disappeared on me, so it won't be exactly like it 
was, but I have a yahtzee game, a mud, some text games, and a couple

thanks for the updates, we get asked about games for the mac fairly often so 
it's good to have a list.

I however have a correction.

You just mention space encounter from audiogame it.
Actually they've produced about eight different games, all for pc, mac or 
ios, space encounter is just one of them.


Games include she noire and the three inquisitor adventure games, audio 
speed and audio rally racing racing games, Space encounter, and most 
recently tyhe blind gladiator, (which I'll probably get for Ios myself when 
it comes out).

that come to mind are Blind Swordsman, RS Games, Grail to the Thief, the QC 
playroom (if you play it in Safari) and Blind Side. I haven’t yet tried Blind 
Side. I think that’s all. The RS client seems to have issues under Sierra. I 
can’t get it to download sounds.

 This is actually fairly easy. The area consists of a north/south corridor 
with a few intersections of paths going left and right. Most of these are 
simply dead ends but there's one path heading east. This eastward path is 
the one you want. If you come to a save point you're on the right track.

Only the net gods know that.
And to be honest, who knows actually.
Lighttech havn't developed like in ages.
Robert may have done this on his own.
In the early days of the industry it was prity clear cut.
However as it is most of what once was is gone or slowly grinding away.
I feel with so many new small hacker devs out there that what were the 
big companies have stepped back for a while.
The only companies out of the origional still existing are vipgameszone, 
draconis pcs, 7128 and gma.
7128 publishes articles from time to time and gma still are on the 
developmental road as we can assume is draconis.

vipgameszone has all but stopped, and pcs is slowly chugging along.
So its anyone's guess.
With the death of a couple major companies, the merging of one or 2 and 
the stoppage due to life of a few more, and with the rise of the game 
engine, the field is open.

As long as there are people to write then.
On that note for all those that are interested, while I have not read 
the guidelines there are some for fan fiction on trek.

I am not sure if other things will have similar guidelines.
All I know is that all fan drama sites for trek have stopped producing 
probably for ever or until they can make sence of all the guidelines and 
what they can exactly do.
This could spell the end of the age of fanfiction and by that an 
extention of the stuff we all know and love.

That in one way is good as there will not be coppies.
However on the bad side, we could potentially have less as everyone will 
need to make their own things.
Luckily we have an ever growing list of people that do things just 
because they can.

Fact is I don't know what is round the corner these days, no one does.

[Audyssey] Help with gamepad.

Hello.

I was wondering how I could calibrate my gamepad using a screenreader?
I am having some trouble with my right stick.
When I move it to the left and right it works, however when I move it 
up and down it does not work.

I am trying to assign keyboard keys to my controller with Joytokey.

floor. It's a complicated path, but you'll know you're there when you find a

Not much for windows i'm afraid that you've not heard of before like 
entombed, most of the rpg like games such as king of dragon pass are 
available for Ios.


There are however lots of muds and online role playing games, and of course 
gamebooks like the choiceofgames ones and those on the fighting fantasy 
project which have similar mechanics and experience and are worth a try.

with simon games albeit I thought the hole business with his allergy to

The hermit puzzle didn't annoy me particularly, but I've never had a problem 
with simon games albeit I thought the hole business with his allergy to 
perfume and the bean tin he spoke through felt a bit on the silly side.

but I've been playing Chillingham over again, and I can't for the life

inside it the guy tells me it's empty.  I keep heading back to the shop 
too, and have already sprayed one set of insects and gotten the pieces

I know there was an audio review of the game by Kelly Sapergia, but I 
can't seem to access it from the website, and it's not showing on 
Kelly's site either.  I'd like to hear that review again, so am 
wondering if anyone here might still have a copy of it?

[Audyssey] Help with Smugglers' Cove in Alter Aeon?

chapel. As I recall, there is a choice of paths in the sewer pipe, north

Yes, you just need to knock the door where lora is standing and kill the 
prisoner and then you have to deal with some demi-cats or kitttens.  then just 
follow the direction you did not enter from and you will find the pit fiend 
sleeping.  depending on your level and class, it is simple to kill.  Of course, 
I was level 24 druid and hit it once with a fist of earth and it died.

  Subject: [Audyssey] Help with a quest in ALter Aeon.


  Hello,
I just got back into ALter a couple days ago after being absent for a 
while. I’ve had a lot of fun but I’m stuck on my last unfinished quest before 
leaving Slo. It has to do with defeating the lesser pit fiend in the sewers of 
Bandera Azul. I can find my way into the sewers but I can’t find what I’m 
supposed to kill. The furthest I can get is a cell with a locked door and a 
naked swordsman. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, well, first let me explain that the BGT tutorial wouldn’t help at all 
because the syntax of the game engine has changed quite a bit. This is from BGT 
version 1.0 and back then, things were limited. I could help anyone with BGT to 
the best of my abilities, and as I said with on the audiogames.net forum, I 
didn’t learn very well with the BGT tutorial, its so confusing, and so I just 
started to look at code from Scrolling battles, and now got the hang of the 
network object.
Anyway, if anyone wants, you could contact me if you need any help with BGT.

Bgt isn't something I know as of now, but I may try it out. I haven't been able 
to find the audio manual, so if anyone can give it to me, that would be great. 
The main thing in all programing languages is memorization. Being a python and 
php programer, I happen to know that just reading line after line and character 
by character, it should eventually stick in your mind.

Hi.

Remember that the braces indicate a block of code. If I made a 
suggestion, it would be that you have the habbit of understanding what a 
block of code is, and you start out by building the block, then fill it 
in afterwards. In that way, you often times will have an easier time 
making your opening and closing braces when they're just a couple of 
lines from one another, and then as you fill in your function between 
them or your conditional or what have you, as long as you don't put an 
open brace somewhere that you forget a closing brace for for instance a 
conditional inside there, you'll be fine. Let's try an example.

}

I like to start just like that, I also like to do this

{ //this function subtracts one from our number of rockets, plays the 
rocket firing sound and if it hits, calls the takeDamage method on the 
enemy.

So with my commenting I've just made it rather obvious what the braces 
are for. Let's assume I started my function like that, now I'll fill it 
in a bit

Note that this is an object oriented example, ignore that if you aren't 
that advanced and just try to get an idea about the commenting I use. 
It's all about litterally spelling out what the braces are for. For some 
very short chunks of code it is fine to go ahead and put it all on one 
line and just put your comment on the same line at the end, below it or 
above it. I did some of both hoping you'd get the idea.

Hi thanks, it's just help getting started with bgt I'm looking for.  I 
understand the first chapter, but when he gets into talking about bananas 
equals apples and so on, my brain just freezes and goes blank.  :)  My 
memory isn't too good where remembering symbles is concerned, so I'm trying 
to find an easy way to remember braces and so on.

Hi everyone, I just re-downloaded bgt onto my new windows7 laptop, but am
finding when I look in the program's folder I don't see any of the help
documentation.  I'm trying to learn BGT from the ground up again, as it's
been ages since I've actually coded properly with it but what I don't want
is to sit and listen to the audio manual again, as it just went in one ear
and out the other without stoping to say hi to my brain.  :)  Also, if
anyone has any tips on using bgt, I'd be very greatful.  Thanks, from Lori.

You know I have made it as far as the teleporter level, I think 8.
I managed to once complete it, only once.
after that the courtyard level makes sence then doesn't.
There are lifts to use and you are supposed to make it all the way down 
to the gground but since it never goes down all the way I have had to 
jump off at the lowest point, and if I do that all I get is a portal to 
go back up.
Its why I havn't completed the game, level 10 is more stupid, you are 
supposed to be able to jump down all the way then go up but I have never 
managed to finnish it either.
The game itself is a stupid game it may as well be because I have never 
completed it.
I mainly play it for the mostly non crappy custom maps in the game 
though I have never built a map in my life.

It's actually this aspect of  Castaways that is so unique in it's design and 
for me makes it far more addictive than any other stratogy game we've had 
thus far.


I've never seen the point of all those stratogy games I've found online like 
1000 Ad etc where you basically just have lots of production factors you set 
going and leave, or resources you put into one project and walk away from. 
What I love about castaways is the need to continually refign what you do 
and make changes according to both what your trying to accomplish and any 
disasters that occur, it's again as I've said before the hole idea of 
reaction and judgement in gameplay as opposed to just  static shuffling.

Hi Lori,

Well, I generally place my garde towers pretty far away from my
settlement that way if goblins come all the fighting is as far away
from my settlement as possible. I generally place my settlement in the
center of the map, or as centered as possible, and then my guard
towers are at least four or five squares away from my nearest building
that way it gives me a bit of open area for fighting and to use as a
buffer between my settlement and the goblin raiders.

as your first line of defense, a shield as it were, and you want to
put that on your outer perimeter of your territory to keep the goblins
as far away from your buildings for as long as possible.

Hi Lori,

There are a number of things that could be wrong here since Castaways
is pretty dependant on several factors. However, the first one that
comes to mind is to make sure you have plenty of peasants to do menial
labor.  The peasants are important because they will go out and
harvest your fields, deliver bread from your bakeries, go get meat
from the butcher's shop,  and other things so your cook can actually
cook it. If you don't have enough peasants  your people will starve
just because nobody is delivering food to the tavern.

For those who don't know, graille to the thief was an audio adventure game
(not a first person one, one of the choice style ones), developed by
foralltoplay. 

The game had a very nice interface and some funny acting, although it did
rather suffer from a lack of actors and complexity, though both of those are
things Foralltoplay could fix with a 100 K grant methinks! 

Anyway, instead of wittering on here is the message:

grants through a contest and we've entered our studio (For All To Play) into
the contest. We are currently forced to work on games in our spare time, but
if we receive this grant we will be able to develop accessible audio games

Those of you who have been putting this off to do later, if you have 
facebook, go for it right away. I just did it and it took me a whole 3
