Hi Bryan,
You will want to use the parascope when you are between 20 and 40 feet
of water. You are two low to use the conning tower for a lookout, and
heigh enough that you can use the scope to keep an eye on enemy ships.
Typically I tend to travel at 30 feet with the scope up so I can be low
enough to evade enemy fire, but be high enough to use my engines for
maximum speed/maneuverability.

Hi,
That works. My usual strategy is just to line up the entrance into the
mine field and drive my sub through them going at 18 naughts. It is
rather funny dragging the destroyer in with me because he slows to 1
naught while I am taking it at 18 naughts. By the time he gets out of
the mines I am waiting, torpedoes, armed and smoke him before he can get
a full head of steam up. Lol!

I just find the destroyer, sneak up on it with a ready gun, kill it, then

Well I finally completed missions 1 and 2 this morning. That aircraft
carrier had been frustrating the living bejesus out of me but I finally
managed to get a targetting solution and unloaded all four torpedos into it.
Turned out I only needed two or three but I wasn't about to take any chances
on it getting away from me again. So Mission 1 was a breeze. Mission 2 was a
lot more tense what with the mine fields but I managed not to collide with
any of them. I took out the first oil platform with my deck gun but that
took too long and so I took out the others with torpedos. May have been
unnecessary but ah well. Now all I gotta do is wait for David to send me my
unlock code and I can start playing the later missions and maybe creating
some of my own as well.

Grin I always play every mission on the highest level of difficulty. I
really like the fact that if you don't move slow, use surprise, stealth,
