Hello, I was once subscribed to modus operandi and told them about the

As i tried to explain earlier, they dont seem to work with standard
mudclients 1. because they use non-standard protocols and 2. since i dont
know the addresses to connect to for sure (there are some addresses on the
zuggsoft website but i havent gotten it working yet) i do assume the
addresses are contained in the zmud big database.

Not that IO have gotten it to work with zmud yet either, i dont find it

Hello everyone,
I am a die hard mudder and normally use mushclient. But because I want

able to use the msp protocol and I would like to play simutronics games
I
finally want to give a serious try to zmud or better yet cmud because

Will zmud work out of the box with jaws or can I download scripts
somewhere?
I know cmud was rather unaccessible in the past, are there any scripts
for

This client yet?
Thanks in advance for any information,

As i tried to explain earlier, they dont seem to work with standard mudclients
1. because they use non-standard protocols and 2. since i dont know the
addresses to connect to for sure (there are some addresses on the zuggsoft
website but i havent gotten it working yet) i do assume the addresses are
contained in the zmud big database.

Not that IO have gotten it to work with zmud yet either, i dont find it
that intuitive at all to start playing. I suppose I would need to select a
mud like dragonrealms from the masterlist that is in zmud but I dont find
 it easy to accomplish.

Wel, if their own clients aren't working, perhaps it would be worth someone
actually contacting them directly and asking for the connection information.
Afterall, it's deffinately to their advantage if more people are playing
their games.

As i tried to explain earlier, they dont seem to work with standard
mudclients 1. because they use non-standard protocols and 2. since i dont
know the addresses to connect to for sure (there are some addresses on the
zuggsoft website but i havent gotten it working yet) i do assume the
addresses are contained in the zmud big database.

could you connect to these muds using vipmud in the standard manner? or

Also, out of pure interest what is so great about them that you have to
pay monthly amounts. The other commersial muds I've heard of worked on a
system of selling in game advantages in the form of stat boosts and
items, the way brouser games like KoL do.

These are muds that you pay for each month, hey all have a 30 day free
trial though.
You need to use special client to connect to them although they are a
lot like normal muds.
They provide many clients on their site but at elast as far as i know
they are not too accessible.

But the games also work with zmud.
I have neverused zmud before though and dont find it too intuitive to
get started as mentioned before.

Indeed it is quite a nice piece of work that David has done. I've
installed and have been playing with Alter Eon [hope I've got the name right

consider the client for sure. Anyone else play the same mud?

 Hi list.
Does anybody know where I can find the JFW plug-in for Zmud?
I search Google for it but cant find it.
I had it once before and lost it in a harddrive failure.
I cant remember where I got it.
So if anybody knows where to get it, or has it I'd appreciate if they
would send it to me or tell me where to get it.

 Thanks.

2008-05-23 Thread Liam Erven
I've gotten back in to Miriani mainly cause I've never to kill some time
this week.
If you want to kill some time, it's wroth checking out. The player base can
be frustrating at times, but I tend to stay out of everyone's way.
VIP mud is great if youw ant to do some scripting and add sounds. it's easy
as pie.
though I'm not sure how easy pie actually is. but I'd assume it's easy.

[Audyssey] ZMud

2008-04-09 Thread jaliya skye
Hi everyone:

My friend is a die-hard ZMud user. Before upgrading JFW, ZMud read like it
was supposed to, but now that she is using version 9 of jaws, it no longer
does so. It skips lines, etc. She doesn't want to switch, and she can't
get that older version of jaws on her PC since the other one crashed.

I thought that I'd read somewhere about a plug-in or a work around that
would fix this issue, but at the time I glossed over it figuring that it
didn't concern me.

Does such a plug-in exist, or was I reading in my sleep? Thanks for any
help on the matter.

Warmly,
Jaliya

I'm not in any big hurry to pay that unless I know I'm getting something

I hear you there. I can totally understand wanting to get returns for what

Are there any work arounds for her until that point, however?

 Hi Liam:

I hear you there. I can totally understand wanting to get returns for
 what
you put in. I'll chat with my friend tonight. She is probably the type
that would certainly want to donate, especially if it means being able to
use ZMud once more without difficulties.

Are there any work arounds for her until that point, however?

 Jaliya

I'm writing one and really haven't finished it yet. financing is my main
problem. it will cost me 40 bucks to register the sdk to actually make
 public plugins.
I'm not in any big hurry to pay that unless I know I'm getting something
back from it. I hate to sound selfish, but there aren't that many people
who use z mud, so it's kind of a nich market in a nich market.

 Subject: [Audyssey] ZMud

 Hi everyone:

My friend is a die-hard ZMud user. Before upgrading JFW, ZMud read like
 it
was supposed to, but now that she is using version 9 of jaws, it no
 longer

 Warmly,
 Jaliya

[Audyssey] ZMud Plugin problem

2007-06-08 Thread Orin
Hi all,

Does anyone know with the JFW ZMud plugin when starting up a mud,
every time i get a parse error dialog? Every time I have to go to the
chars list, select my char, left click on offline, remove and
install... the plugin again. This, my friends, is a waist of my time
and I like my sound packs for medievia, so yeah.

Also, when I use the jaws kerser to navigate, a few lines going up
the screen and suddenly jaws reads stuff that happened like ... hours
ago. I mean. I could be doing a combat mission in Meareomi, all of a
sudden I gotta go, step away, come back, read with my jaws kerser the
recent stuff that happened, but come to find out that it ... ur I
don't know what it does, goes way way, way up the mud history or
something and reads it?

Same with medievia and other muds such as hell. I think it's any mud
really. Once the history gets two crowded jaws likes to mess things
up a little.

Also, finally, does anyone know how to turn off local echo in ZMud?
One time I tried this and unchecking it, I go back and yet jaws
continue to speak my commands as I enter them. These, my friends, are
the problems I'd like to fix as I intend to use ZMud as my primary
client if I can get this fixt.

Thanks.

[Audyssey] ZMud

2006-10-17 Thread Kellie and Lady J
Hey all,
I had a question about ZMud. While playing on materia magica, my boy friend
ran into another blind player. He told us that he uses ZMud and that he has
scripts for it. He said that we would have to use the frames manager a bit,
but with the scripts ZMud is usable. Well, he said that he would send the
scripts but hasn't thus far. What I am wondering, is anyone else aware of
scripts for ZMud and if so, where can I find them?

I use GMud currently and it just can be a nuisance. Zmud is more functional
and would make playing muds loads easier.

Thanks in advanced if anyone knows anything. smiles
