Hey I know 3d volosity is out, I was wondering that would be cool if we
had a racing feature with dog fighting and racing airplanesand fighter
jets, instead of cars how about we race other planes or jets just like
top speed but an airplane racing game that would be cool if you can add
a racing
In 3d Volosity I was wondering to make landing easier can we have the
beacon at the center when we power the plane to land, I think it would
be easier this way when you about to jump in Jim kitchen's Homer on a
Harley racing game you can line yourself up and get the beeping sound in
the center
We also need an exit and saving feature in the game before it is finally
complete so gamers can have the choice to abort the mission or save the
mission.

Those are different. While an aircraft is moving, its normal for it to go in
the wrong direction or tilt side to side. Its normal with aircraft. You'll
learn how to land so you do not have to worry.

Their is one, go to options and save the thing. You have to buy the version
though.

The game already has a racing feature. Select racing mode and you are good
to go. You can dogfight, but you won't be able to take down the aircraft,
but slow the aircraft.

Greetings List.
So I was looking around for examples of X-Input capable games to play with,
and happened across this title released several years ago.
While the game is very simple (it is a proof of concept, after all), it does
demonstrate what can be done with the controller.

It occurred to me, that during our last discussion of 3D mapping etc, that
you'd asked how I was converting my arc tangent result to a bearing with zero
being north and degrees ascending clockwise. Here's how I do it. this is my own
way, and is only for a flat plane which is perfe
Hi Cara,
One thing I've found is that you can get the same result by swapping the
arguments to atan2.
Using your variable names,
angle=atan2(vectorX,vectorY)*180/M_PI;
if (angle<0)
angle+=360;
Take care,

How about only assigning the button when it is released, that way you
can go imaginary code here:
bool Button1Pressed false
bool button2pressed false
if anyButton is pressed
if button1 null
button1 = anyButton
elseIf !button1 null
if button2 null
button2 = anyButton
elseIf !button2 null

Hi.
I would be willing to pay for topspeed 3, especially when you get a
couple of the bugs that are causing me problems figured out. I race
multiplayer with topspeed 3 just about every day, and have been playing
topspeed multiplayer with others online for a year now.

Hi Peter,
Thank you. Glad that you do also like my Simon game. Thanks for saying so.
Geez I had forgotten that my dos version kept track of the time etc. I was
told though that it was not really Simon because it did not repeat and build on
the same sequence.
I also used to have a dos game
Hi Valiant,
Well, the joystick input code doesn't work that way. In order to even
attempt something like that I'd have to rewrite my joystick input
code. Since I have already written it, it is debugged and working in
the G3D Engine, I'm obviously not going to do that. I'm less than a

Hi everyone,
Here is a little something I've been thinking about for a while now,
but have been to occupied building the Genesis Engine to really think
about Mysteries of the Ancients specifically. So now that the engine
is pretty much squared away at this point I can now focus my full

I'd start with simple levels to ease the player in to the game, and start
ramping up the difficulty as you go.
You may even want to make level 1 just a few rooms with a few ladders so
that the gamer can actually get used to the controlls and navigating before
you throw a maze at them.

Hi Liam,
Well, that goes without saying. Even with a game like Montezuma's
Revenge they started out with a simple maze, simple traps, easy
enemies, and slowly introduced more difficult mazes and enemies as you
went along. However, the puzzle element and maze element was still
there. Just toned dow
Hi I am up for the challenge of harder levels and more traps it will make
the game more interesting.

Your ideas sound good to me - an old joke as a developer is you need to want

Hello,
I have opened the list of files in MOTA, and it sounds like many of the
sounds were made before the game was started. The sounds go as far as
level ten, and there are sounds for the ambiance of sand, water, and
ground. most of them are not implemented yet.

Hi Jacob,
That's absolutely right. The problem is though that I have taken a lot
of personal heat and criticism over how I have managed this game
project so far. I took time out to rewrite/convert the engine from C#
to C++, I took some time to look at SFML and SDL for cross-platform
development, e
Hi,
Well, there is a good reason for that. Some of the sounds were
borrowed from Montezuma's Revenge which is what this game started out
as before the copyright problem. Others were added for this game
specifically. Others are there because they show up in a later level,
but aren't present in lev
