Hi. What about shell shock and sound rts? Or do those not fall into the appropriate category of action games? - Original Message - From: Thomas Ward [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Lindsay Cowell [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Gamers Discussion list gamers@audyssey.org Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2008 1:05 PM Subject: Re: [Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things? Hi Lindsay, Can you define what exciting and full of action means to you? It is difficult to answer this question because exciting and full of action is pretty subjective, and is pretty much defined by personal preference. That said I do have a couple of suggestions. One you might head over to my web site http://www.usagames.us and download Super Deecout produced by DanZ Games. It is a great little time waister, and is now free once you apply the official unlock patch for it. Another free game I like that might meet your requirements is Dark Destroyer. It is a modern day Space Invader clone and is also free. I haven't yet managed to put the links up for it, but you can download it direct from http://www.usagames.us/downloads/games/pb-games/DD-Setup.exe Other than that I can't think of any others off the top of my head that meets your requirements. As you have realised most of the free games are along the board, card, or Bop It lines. The really cool accessible action games such as Shades of Doom, Tank Commander, Lone Wolf, Sarah, Packman, etc cost cash. Re: [Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things?
Hi, SoundRTS is real time strategy. I don't consider it an action game, and is more based on real time strategy and planning than anything else. Like I said his question was rather subjective. What you and I consider exciting action games could be completely different. It is a personal thing, and not something that is concretely one way or the other. Valiant8086 wrote: Hi. Re: [Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things?
Hi. while there are certainly games missing from it, the audiogames.net database is being updated at the moment, and one thing you can do there is search for audiogames by license type. just go to www.audiogames.net and look under the search archive link, then select freeware as the license. You could also have a look at the games listed under donation sas those are games that are quite free to play in full form, but accept player donations to keep the games running and occasionally offer in game bonuses. hth. Re: [Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things?
Hi Michael, You got that right. And don't forget Super Deecout's official home is now http://www.usagames.us under the accessible games mirrors section. Hi chris. Dans games are stil listed with prices, but if you read the news on the front page of Danzgames.com there's an explanation as to why they are freeware, as well as some self-extracting archives to unlock the full versions of the games. hmm free games with action. Hmmm. there is puppy 1 by jim kitchen if you call that action. there is the tourniment game bpc has, thats action, and the 10 min 3d verlocity game. There is treasurehunt which is free to an extent. Even though its a demo. But there is no real free fps game. usagames.us has startrek final conflict and there is sound rts. there are the games by jim kitchen but these are not full on battle and the spoonbill games which are just card games, etc. You really need to buy the games or borrow them or something if you really want to have full action. Re: [Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things?
Hi Chris, Dan himself created a patch to unlock all of his games last May and announced they were all going freeware so I can say for sure they are all free. Apparently Dan's web site is still up and if you look on the main page, about half way down there is a notice that DanZ Games is closing and there are patches for all of his games that turns them into ffully registered versions. My DanZ Games mirror page has all of the games and there patches as well. So if anyone is actually selling the games they are ripping somebody off, because they all went freeware about 6 months ago or so. Chris Hallsworth wrote: They can't be.
