suid use flag entries (net-analyzer/nagios-plugins:suid and
net-wireless/kismet:suid) be deleted from use.local.desc?

tools. Using the /etc/conf.d/wireless.example I set up as per RTFM'n .
I have in /etc/conf.d/wireless:
essid_ath0=patkno
mode_ath0=managed
channel_ath0=6
key_patkno=s:** enc open
and I have in /etc/conf.d/net
of the bandwidth).
Are both machines and the router's LAN on the same MTU?
What tools and techniques can I use to debug this situation?
Many thanks for a hint,
First use ifconfig to see how many dropped packets you get on both machines.
Then use iwconfig, or cat /proc/net/wireless on the PC running

This is gentoo, so you are compiling. I would look at the build log and
see if they do make menuselect
