Hi,
I have created a new plug-in: the Splitter plug-in can be used to split
a picture according to a mathematical formula into two layers, translate
and/or rotate the layers and optionally merge them back into one
picture.
More information and examples can be found on

It would be nice if there were a configuration option for a minimal
install that left out (and didn't bother to compile) most of the
plugins. Given enough disk space, sure, I'll install whirlpinch, but
55MB is more than I can afford on my school account.
After removing occasionally useful but m

Er, why don't you ask the sysadm to install the GIMP in some public
place for everybody to use? Isn't it rather counter-productive if

There are reasons for me to do it this way. I don't think the GIMP

Howdy folks. Just doing some work and I noticed some UI inconsistancies
between the 'core' gimp and some script-fu scripts, in particular the drop
shadow one. The color picker that comes up is a different one that what

Why would I spend time working on something without having some
expectation that it wouldn't just get thrown away? I have no id

It's 58Mb on my box, installed from the 1.1.14 source built with Gimp Perl
disabled.

I noticed while writing a file loader for Cineon files (anyone waiting
for this?) an annoying misfeature of the file magic detection. I was
testing for a long value in hex with the top bit set. Unfortunately,
the value to check is loaded into a (signed) int variable, and strtol()
fails because the
The transform tool, when set to shear, will only let you shear in one
direction after trying once and resetting. This very simple patch for
shear_tool.c fixes the problem. (Hope it's in the correct format, it's
small enough to apply by hand if not.)
Patch against 1.1.14, BTW.
