GIMP 2.10.30 on Xubuntu 20.04
While performing other operations, I have found that the entire frame of
reference for gimp (image, guides, etc.) is rotated by holding Shift-B2
(middle mouse button) and dragging the mouse. This always happens
accidentally and I have found no way to reset the view

What I cannot figure out is how to delete an existing named Preset. Also,

Ever since EXIF handling was added to GIMP, it has
been mangling the data when saving an image file.
I reported this a long time ago and followed up with a

like to be able to position the GIMP window on the screen with precision as
would typically be done with the X11 -geometry specification. This option

time. Something happened and a dock got moved in the single window mode
and I have never discovered any way to reconfigure the docks in this mode.

When attempting to load Minolta (mrw)
use exiftool(1) to extract and save all metadata (say from a .jpg or .raw
file) to an external file, which can then be applied to another file such
as a .tif
This might be a workaround for your current problem. I hope that helps.

This entire debate could be ended if the developers would simply add an
option to the Preferences that allowed the individual user to select
between the new Save/Export mechanism and the old 2.6 Save-to-Type-Opened
mechanism (including the specified extension override), with the default

I just purchased a new Sony Alpha 77 camera and am having problems with
UFRaw and the conversion of the alpha raw (.arw) files.
I can use UFRaw to open my older Minolta .mrw raw files and they look fine.
However, all of the .arw files display

contributes to the ongoing development, and I extend my thanks for all you
do, including responding to irate users like me on this and other forums.
