What version of gnucash are you running ?

explicitly save and reports you keep open when quitting gnucash.

This is a known bug in the external library we use to render reports (Webkit).
This is fixed in newer versions of that library, but unfortunately it's not
available for Windows. So on Windows we're stuck with the old version for now,
and the annoying bug :(
The only work around I'm
Gnucash will put a lock on the database as long as it's in use by one user. If
a second user tries to open it that user will be presented with a warning tje
db is still in use by ssomeone else. So you can't accidentally be working on an
open db with two users at once. If you ignore the warning

Yuri Chornoivan is working hard on the Ukrainian translation. His latest
