Hey all,
During the extended downtime of the Elektro-based GTS list, I brought the
GTS list up on a site called www.egroups.com, a free group hosting
facility. I've solicited the opinions of the group members I could reach
and have considered the two options.
I have decided to move the list
I'm on a list at the eGroups (for Ducati's MH900e). The list works well, they
have a space for uploading of photos and even setting up calendar events. It
could prove useful for sharing and meeting. The downside is they put ads in
your emails. So far, it hasn't taken up much space. It's also
Did I miss something? Has the list been down, or have I been unsubbed? I
haven't received any posts for over a week.

Yeah Roger, you missed the big crash.
Mike couldn't get ahold of the the list admin, so he restarted everyone
on a new list server - Egroups.
Now Electro list is back up and we are trying to decide to stay or go
back.

Why doesn't someone that is interested create a second list, a trivia list

parts the GTS shares with other bikes?? I belive that its engine is based on

this is where idle chat should take place.

As long as we keep subject headings accurate, with the word "fluff" when
appropriate, this list seems pretty good to me. If you've been on any other
list, you know that this one stays on topic and has far less traffic than
most. It's the only one I can stand getting in other than d
I would have to agree with Jay I am on 2 other email lists for my other
bikes. The TDM list isn't bad about the same. But for some reason the R1
list is just full of fluff and ego bashing arguments. I would have to
say we've got a good thing going here !
Darren
One more vote to not create another list. Yes, we get some amount of
fluff, but yes, it is usually identified.
As for traffic levels on the list, this one is pretty light. So much so
that I often leave town for a few days without unsubscribing, knowing that

Hello All,
It looks like I might actually own a GTS in the near future. The

Gentlemen,
I was not attempting to compare our list with other lists. I am terribly
confident that the fluff on any given list is proportionate to the number of
units sold/subscribers to the list. That having been said, does it change the
fact that the original intent of the list was GTS
Well, perhaps not fluff, but personalities are a large part of at least my
enjoyment of this list. There is so much cut and dried technical information
to be shared. The pleasure of motorcycle riding can bleed over into other
aspects and I don't mind. Just so long as it's identified
Welcome to the list Mike.
