Hello,
most of my Server have been dropped out because of this Error:
Your client has failed to authorize in time. Please reconnect or restart
your game
It started about 5-10 mins ago and nearby everyone who connects gets dropped
out because of that.
Anyone else having that Problem?

Nothing is wrong with SMAC, the Steam backend isn't validating clients
- so SMAC is kicking them as they could have spoofed details.

Kac ~=~ SMAC, but the issue is with valve. There servers commonly go
down and then reconnect. If you type status into the console of your
server it will say that it is not logged in. Therefore clients can't be
verified. Turning off SMAC, or KAC is not suggested.

Did you read what you wrote? If something is down valve sorta needs to
fix it. Also there network is distributed therefore if one datacenter
goes down another takes over.

For those not subscribed to the Win32 HLDS list, Valve is aware of the
issue and is working on it:

but it wasn't apparent at that time that their issues

Yes, TF2 and CSGO had that earlier. I sent a message to this list about
it but it disappeared too.

It happens from time to time on 2 separate systems. Both are Linux CentOS,

No one seems to be reporting this but since last update teleporters and

only see their shadows.
Typing record something and then stop in console helps until you die. When
you respawn the teleporters are still invisible. Same

I'm pretty sure I mentioned it on this list (and the Windows mailing
list) the day that it was patched into the game.

A word of warning concerning the next TF update. Many of the Linux binaries
for the dedicated server will be renamed.
For example:
bin/datacache_srv.so
bin/dedicated_srv.so
bin/engine_srv.so
bin/libtier0_srv.so
bin/libvstdlib_srv.so
bin/materialsystem_srv.so
bin/replay_srv.so
Thanks for the warning. The binary files being renamed is easy enough to
work around, but apparently the symbols are also stripped out of them. Any
chance this can be reversed for the server binaries? Converting to
signatures and maintaining them would be a huge hassle.
Thanks.

[Corrected subject line]
Yes, it will affect all orange box games.
Regarding symbols: We'll publish the same level of symbol info that we've
published previously. We shipped a change to strip them in the current TF
beta; we'll revert that.

So I've just setup replay again on my server after not using it for a year.
I found it was buggy and caused more lag and trouble than it was worth.
Everything seems to be work except when you play back a replay on your
client some of the players have a huge floating red ERROR above their
heads.
We have to rename the binaries to avoid name collisions with the Linux client,
but on your dedicated server you should be able to symlink the old names to the
new binaries to allow old plugins to continue to work.
