Counter-Strike: Source Update Released
Product Update - Valve
Updates to Counter-Strike: Source have been released. The updates will be
applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes
include:
Counter-Strike: Source

I tried adding 8 bots by issuing the tf_bot_add 8 RCON command: the bots are
immediately added but then they automatically kicked one by one.
When the map changes they are added back by the engine. You can kick them
via RCON, but they join again.
I had to restart a full server to stop this
When you say one by one, do you mean over time? Or immediately after
adding them?
Sound like maybe a plugin or cvar issue.*

This is not a bug, it is a feature indeed :)
Please consult the documentation for the bots and use the following
settings:
tf_bot_quota_mode normal
tf_bot_join_after_player 0
tf_bot_auto_vacate 0
tf_bot_quota 8
mp_humans_must_join_teamany
The bot management is much better
Thank you for your kind response, I wasn't aware of these new convar: I
always read the release notes at each update and check the wiki but they
haven't been mentioned. Now I see they opened a topic on the forum
explaining it. For anyone interested, here it is

type cvarlist in the server console or HLSW.
This shows all cvars related to the game, and if sourcemod or anything of
the like is installed. it shows those also.
I use HLSW as you can scroll up and read all the cvars where the servers
console does/can't
Same for DoD:S. If you enter only setmaster in the console you will
see that NONE is set by defeault. I did as valve recomends if you do it
against their advice not to manually add the server. Still no success.
Later I saw one of the servers on the list and checked. The ports for
the masters
I don't know about you guys, but I've noticed we only have master server
issues on boxes that are running L4D2 AND TF2.
TF2 or L4D2 alone no problems,
Anyone else experience this?

Can anyone confirm this is definitely fixed before I remove the plugin?

We are working on a fix. The Steam Service is not used by dedicated servers and

This do anything on the server side or is srcds still single threaded?
Possibility one:
Srcds now takes advantage of multiple cores, chokepoints removed,
bitbuffers optimized, packet code optimized, now built with SSE2 code
by default since no pre-SSE2 cpu could even handle TF2 servers anyway,

My point exactly. And even that only enables SSE2 for choice math
functions, not the whole app, and there's a lot that would benefit
from it outside of the core math functions.

The real problem is not being lucky or unlucky.
The problem is investigating ourselves to give all the needed information to

As a follow up, I'm still having the issue where the server segfaults
repeatedly at start time and eventually takes. But now I also have an
issue where it segfaults once it's running. Goes for about 5
minutes.. Get a pretty full server, then with no warning the server
dies.
