There are differences.
Also, all references to latin9 should be removed; an X11 keyboard
layout is independent of any charset encoding.

It is not considered a variant of Spanish keyboard, but a different layout.
(Just as Swiss french keyboard and France keyboard are separate layouts
too).

Even people's name are written in kana (which sometimes makes it hard
to guess who they are writting about)

displays '1 [2]' in LTR mode and '[2] 1' in RTL mode
(there is no neutral mode).
Does xterm/fribidi have the problem also if main mode is forced to LTR
or RTL ?
