Hi
Reading the ENF descriptions, seems to me, for the first , a
useful facility would be to listen to a number of ENF events,
and send some alerts if something wrong.
I mean SRM event or config change or SMF ended etc etc .

Listening on ENF codes is a very common thing to do and you will find that RMF
and ISV monitors do this sort of thing a lot.
If you are coding the routine that gets invoked when the ENF code occurs, you
need to be fully aware of the environment in which you get invoked - for

Check the internet options set for IE, especially things like lan settings and
proxy servers and various security and firewall options.
A lot of downloads that are http based work with FireFox and not IE in this
installation because the LAN group has not messed it up yet. ftp downloads work

Interesting. I was able to do so with Firefox also. Thanks for trying

I'm wondering if, as we're getting ready for Windaze 7, that something is
being seriously changed for the better.

All,
We are looking at acquiring a new application to run on z/OS.
Supposedly, the batch is very CPU intensive. We have been talking to a
another customer who already runs this application to get an idea of the
resources we will need.
I'd feel better though, if we found a good batch

Hi,
Has anyone heard of a utility that can re-create object modules from a load

Is this even possible?
Thanks,

AFAIK, this is not possible. However, the linkage editor/binder can
produce a stand-alone csect which can be processed in much the same
way as an object deck. The linkage editor/binder control statements
would need to be modified to handle this.
Another possibility is to dis-assemble the csect in

You can specify a maximum CPU time for each class. The job will abend if it
reaches that time.
We have JES2 exits that add TIME parameters to jobs in certain classes.
If you have access toCA-OPS or another automation product, you could probably
do it from there too.
