In my previous life, I used to work with tso prof nointercom and instead
wrote a small rexx to capture messages using outtrap and listbc command and
store them in an ispf table. I was able to read them and delete them. The
cons is that you don't get real time notifications.

A short update.
People that ran the program on their systems reported more products that
make use of log4j. Looks like it is quite a common issue in USS.
Lesson is that modernizing the mainframe, modernizes the vulnerabilities as
well.

CICS can produce the related SMF records. Some monitors such as omegamon
also produce transaction usage history that can save you some SMF records.
Some products, such as zSecure can read VBS files as well.

Anyway, what's wrong with IBM-MAIN? Many threads starts with a technical
issue and dive into machine models in the sixties or the exact noise of the
CRAM disk...

In this case I would write a small rexx program to call the assembler. As
it is rexx, the name typed assumed to be a macro. BTW, the problem can
easily be solved by rexx OUTTRAP (to capture the job number).

, There are commands that are built-in in ISPF
and others that are define to the command table. for example. your program
can be defined as CMD($UBMIT) for the name you want to use under ISPF.
TSO parmlib only needed if the program is authorized (TSO, by definition is
unauthorized).
