Did you try bitsavers? If they don't have it, perhaps someone who does

Hi,
I'm considering writing a Subsystem to intercept an output file and
putting it somewhere else. It looks like // DD SUBSYS= might be one
good way to do this.
I understand that there is an ancient redbook/orangebook/whateverbook
that discusses how to do this. it was written by IBM's

Depending on what "someplace else" is, // D

To All,
Due to several high priority items jumping ahead of this issue, I took a bit
longer to get this completed. The stub program has been installed for a month
now and looks good. Thanks for all your help.

Thanks Jim for the feedback.
I am proceeding with dynamically building a stub routine to front-end my
amode 31 code.

I have a working SUBSYS interface. My code processes a few of the interfaces
(OPEN, ALLOC,... etc.) and previously resided below the line. I am trying to
move the code above the line. Everything works fine except one item. In my
OPEN routine, I put my input/output routine's address

Does the ACBINRTN address have the high order bit on? Sometimes, IBM will use
it to determine an exits AMODE.
If that doesn't work, then binder allows MODE RMODE(SPLIT) so that you still
only need a single load module. You create a small module that is RMODE(24)
that simply changes to amode
Thanks, Tony and John. I have considered the stub idea and didn't like it as
all my code is loaded at the subsystem initialization and I didn't want to have
a new user selectable program to keep up with. But, looking at John's
solution, I can do my initialization and then generate the stub
Yes, Jon, the high order bit was set to 1 in the address. This is how I got
the SUBSYS interface to work with my other exits (OPEN, CLOSE etc). I am
looking at the SPLIT option now.
Thanks, Harold
