Would lowering the high threshold to as low as possible (for example 20) solve

mostly GDG (output) dsns reside on the volumes and never used as input.

Do you have any IGD* messages beside what you've shown to indicate what
SMS is doing? Do you have any WRITE statements in your routines?

Hallo To All Members
As a follow up to Esmie's post would anyone know if there is an IBM manual
around which would detail or contain the information to implement DUPLEXING? I
would like to read up on this topic.
Thanks.

Hallo Members,
I am trying to find out who or what is using a usercat. I issued the /F
CATALOG,ALLOCATED and it shows that it is allocated.
Is there something or command I can issue to see who or what is using the
catalog?
Thanks.

how can I force HSM to recall the dsn to the original volume?
IIRC, if the datasets belongs to a SC whose Guaranteed Space = Yes, then hsm
recalls
the dataset on the same volume where the dataset originally was.

Alan,
That's the problem. Restoring the dsn on the same volume.

IIRC,
code JCLLIB
statements, and I think the job will wait for the RECALL if they were
migrated. I can test that later.

Where
managed, then the volume doesn't matter.
You specified a specific volume, so I assumed a non-sms volume.
