We have been doing some maintenance and found that there are extra files
in the spool dir some dating back to 10/1/02. Most of the files are .smd,
there are a few others that appear to be attachments that never were removed
from the spool after being sent to the proper box. So with that I have a
Hi, Thanks for the help. I'm not sure I understand as what I tried to

The add alias is looking for a full e-mail but I tried to setup an alias
with the alias being iohosting.net resolving to mail.iohosting.net.
I have to assume that the .smd files are D files with no corresponding Q
files. If this is the case then these are messages that have double-bounced
(undeliverable bounce messages) and can probably be deleted.

Ouch.
That means that there is no MX record for iohosting.net, and mail shouldn't

I was able to solve this problem using Declude JunkMail. There doesn't

It looks like your MX record is set up incorrectly
You have it set as such
mail.iohosting.net MX 20 mail.iohosting.net
I think it should be
iohosting.net MX 20 mail.iohosting.net
and then the corresponding A record for mail.iohosting.net

Oh gee, now I see the field you were talking about it. The installer

Hmmm...
Is IMail rejecting the E-mail (incoming mail to the user), or is the remote
mailserver rejecting the E-mail (outgoing mail)?
It sounds like you're
No -- the separator in the Aliases field of the Virtual Hosts

the T files are temporary files that are coming in. They will eventually
turn into Q files I believe. they should also have a corresponding D
