According to the documentation pair of a phone to IOIO is given by IOIO (xx:yy) where these give the last 4 numbers. I get IOIO (BF:EB). bfef = 49131 which didn't work. In the documentation the example had 4545. I tried 4545 and it paired. What is the connection between bfeb and 4545? -- You

Thanks Ytai, I couldn't see clear enough to see there are 5 pins on the micro USB, unlike the 4 pins on the USB. Maybe this explains why I don't remember ever seeing a male micro USB to male micro USB. Am I correct in thinking an "OTG" cable has the ID pin shorted to GND on the male micro USB?
