or 6.5 MHz in the local evenings. Simply virtually nothing to listen to

Welcome to the world of TA DX. Things are down a bit tonight, with
just 1134 1215 so far on this side of the Sound.
I've been chasing that 783 station since early October, but it's never
had more then trace audio. It hadn't occurred to me that it might be

I also managed to bag the Navtex transmission from Greenland at 0340. I
almost overlooked it because it uses the letter W as its identifier,
which also happens to be the letter used by the USCG Navtex in Astoria,
OR. But the content of the message made it abundantly clear it was from

Many TAs in here tonight. First noted over an hour before local sunset. Most TA
split frequencies across the band had at least a carrier, many had audio, tho
mostly faint. A couple of surprises heard, english pop music on 945 which
paralled 1377 was Toulouse, France and the UK's

A little more life in the band than for the last few days, though
nothing like the conditions of last week.Noted 27 carriers on a

I get a large spike just above 765 (freq varies slightly), which emits a
loud gurgling sound. It's apparently caused by the video circuitry in
my laptop. It goes away when I close the lid and the video goes black.

but no audio. Other weak carriers heard on 999, 1017, 1008, 1089, 1134, 1251,
1269 and 1278, plus some other channels where the het is more imaginary.

Already have great signals out of Saudi 1520 and UK 693, some Spain.
Someone is a tad high on 711 ... 711.04 or so. Thought I had a wee bit of
