Mike and Flor, OK, let's go back over this. I am using JAWS 11 with XP and IE 8. I was the person who first mentioned configuration manager, html options, links. As far as I can tell, none of those options stop JAWS from saying the word link when you arrow over a link on a web page. There

So, in JAWS 11, if you go into the configuration manager, under settings / html options, under the links tab, there is a setting called Say Link Type, and it is a check box. What is this supposed to do? I unchecked it, and expected that JAWS would not say visited link, at the least. Maybe

I just did a test and did a select all on a web page, then cut and pasted it into notepad, not Word, and the word link did not show up anywhere. Don't know what that would do for your formatting, but it might be a start. BTW, the say link type checkbox seems to be for mailto links, ftp links,
