I am having similar issues using XP and JAWS 13 on my home computer.
I am suspecting bad RAM memory as it is an older computer. Also, I am not

Works ok here but I am using 64 bit. I never knew of this keystroke, I
just always used by 4 arrow keys. Have you tried that?

Try downloading JAWS 16 Beta and in the initial set up set up the braille
display. I suspect the driver must be clobbered for some reason or there is
some weird conflict.
It could be that a generic window driver has over ridden the braill driver.
