[kdenlive] [Bug 371062] New: audio on some clips does not match playhead position - only plays later audio, never earlier
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371062 Bug ID: 371062 Summary: audio on some clips does not match playhead position - only plays later audio, never earlier Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: s_chriscoll...@hotmail.com My screen capture software + codec combination creates video files where the video feed appears to start a bit later than the audio. If I drag one of these video clips to the timeline in Kdenlive and render the project, the resulting video file has no synchronization issues. However, if I try to play the clip in Kdenlive, either through the clip monitor or on the timeline, the audio gets out of sync in a very strange way. Whenever I stop the project and restart playback, the audio jumps forward beyond the current playhead position. If I stop playback and then position the cursor at an earlier point, the audio playback will still resume from a later point. In fact, the audio is never able to go back to an earlier point of playback. If you keep playing, starting, stopping, rewinding, etc., eventually, the duration of the clip's audio will have been played, and any further attempts to play the clip will result in nothing but silence. The previous version of Kdenlive that I was using (don't remember--it was pre KF5) did not have this problem, although I had to trim the beginning of the clip a few seconds once imported onto the timeline if I wanted the audio and video to be in sync. I edited many screencasts in that version of Kdenlive without issues. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download the following video and import it into Kdenlive's project bin: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8126161/audio-video-sync-test.avi 2. Play the clip either by A) playing it in the clip monitor, or B) dragging it onto a track and playing the project. 3. Occasionally stop playback and reposition the playhead (both earlier and later) Actual Results: The audio only plays forward, never returning to an earlier point in the audio stream. Expected Results: The audio should be synced with the video. Product: Active Version: unspecified Platform: Other URL: http://www.intuitquickbookssupport.net OS: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: act...@kde.org Reporter: anniejacksonroc...@gmail.com Made by Intuit, QuickBooks is the enormous sister to Quicken. It is particularly intended to help little entrepreneurs track pay and cost things via mechanizing real accounting capacities. Quickbooks support provides help to users . This speeds up both the interior and outer reporting process. One befuddling bookkeeping tradition utilized by little entrepreneurs is deterioration. Be that as it may, QuickBooks makes this procedure simple. Select "Graph of Accounts" from the Lists menu for the organization you wish to enter deterioration for. Select the subaccount following amassed deterioration for the benefit that is being devalued and double tap. Aggregated devaluation is the entirety of all deterioration for an advantage. Input the exchange in the base of the enroll by entering the deterioration sum. The deterioration cost will diminish the sum in the enlist for the advantage and increment the sum for aggregated devaluation. Enter the cost account you set up to track devaluation and spare the enlist section. In the benefit's altered record, the measure of the devaluation will be naturally subtracted from the cost of the advantage. [kdenlive] [Bug 371064] New: rendering uses proxies even though "render using proxy clips" is disabled
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371064 Bug ID: 371064 Summary: rendering uses proxies even though "render using proxy clips" is disabled Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: s_chriscoll...@hotmail.com If I proxy a clip and then render the project, the proxy ends up being used for the final render, dispete "render using proxy clips" being unchecked in the render options (under "More options"). I have to un-proxy the clip for the source clip to actually be used in the final render. The 16.08.2 release notes mentioned this bug as being fixed (I'm guessing it was a reference to bug #368491?) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Drag a video into Kdenlive's project bin. (Here is the video file I was using to repro this bug: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8126161/audio-video-sync-test.avi) 2. Turn the clip into a proxy and put it on the timeline. 3. Render the project and make sure "render using proxy clips" is de-selected under "More options". I used the default WebM profile for this. Actual Results: The rendered video file is very blurry and the audio is lo-fi from using the proxy clip. Now, de-proxy the clip and render again. Result: high quality video and audio. Expected Results: Proxy clips should not be used for the final render unless "render using proxy clips" is selected. As I cannot change my nvidia drivers (as I need legacy drivers), they are still installed. So on my system KDE changed, but not the drivers. [digikam] [Bug 368862] Thumbnails for Olympus raw (ORF) in albumview are blurred
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368862 --- Comment #27 from Guenther M. Erhard --- Yes, the thumbnail after import from camera is now o.k. - regardless of the option setting. The problem starts when meta data is written to the raw, e.g. adding a tag or correcting time. I've done some tests: - change of time in dk53 with the batch tool on a virgin raw file (with thumbnail o.k.) - after change of time thumbnail get blurry - change of time with exiftool on this file (exiftool -createdate+=00:00:01 FILENAME.ORF) - exiftool throws out a warning: "Invalid time string (2016:10:06T15:14:12) when shifting CreateDate - GME15826_1.ORF" and rewrites the file with the new time - after that thumbnail is o.k. again - doing the time change with exiftool on a virgin raw file gives no warning and the thumbnail is still o.k. Now I tried it with exiv2: exiv2 -v -Q d -a 01:01:00 ad FILENAME.ORF: - changing time on a virgin raw file leaves the thumbnail o.k. - changing time on the dk53 time modified file throws no warning and the thumbnail is still blurry So I guess you are right there is something with libexiv2 as exiftool works correctly. My conclusions: - Exiv2 seems not so picky about errors in metadata and copies/writes them again on file changes - If the file metadata is correct exiv2 does not break the file structure when writing - DK works correct when metadata structure is not broken - Writing metadata with DK (using libexiv2 I assume) into orf raw breaks the structure So I think there is either something wrong in DKs interface to libexiv2 or libexiv2 works different to exiv2. [kscreenlocker] [Bug 369137] Screen will not lock when switching virtual terminal
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369137 --- Comment #2 from Martin Gräßlin --- Just tried how this behaves on Wayland: there we get the screen locked, but rendering breaks completely. It means that KIdleTime doesn't fire if not on the current vt on X11. Doesn't surprise me really. I don't really know what we can do about it. If X does not notify us, it doesn't notify us. Not much we can do about it. What could be done is adding a new option whether to lock the screen when switching vts. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kwallet-pam] [Bug 371067] New: pam_kwallet.so erroneously creates home directories
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371067 Bug ID: 371067 Summary: pam_kwallet.so erroneously creates home directories Product: kwallet-pam Version: 5.5.5 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: c.p.a.van...@uu.nl I am in the process of configuring a system wherein users' home directories are created via the session pam module pam_mkhomedir.so. However, the module pam_kwallet*.so creates the home directory before the common-session pam modules are activated. Having pam_kwallet*.so create the home directory results in the home directories having incorrect permissions and the default copy from /etc/skel/ being ignored. A better solution would be to have the pam_kwallet.so fail gracefully if the home directory does not exist yet. I am using SDDM as login/display manager (pam config in additional info). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use sddm (or another display manager with PAM auth set up with pam_kwallet) to login when no homefolder for said user exists yet Actual Results: pam_kwallet*.so creates the home directory with default umask (distro dependend) and pretty empty considering it ignores /etc/skel/. Expected Results: pam_kwallet*.so fails gracefully letting the rest of the session stack handle the creation of the home directory. I am running the following related packages on kubuntu 16.04.03 SDDM package : 0.13.0-1ubuntu5 libpam-kwallet4: 4:5.5.5-0ubuntu1 libpam-kwallet5: 4:5.5.5-0ubuntu1 /etc/pam.d/sddm contains: #%PAM-1.0 # Block login if they are globally disabled authrequisite pam_nologin.so authrequiredpam_succeed_if.so user != root quiet_success # authsufficient pam_succeed_if.so user ingroup nopasswdlogin @include common-auth # gnome_keyring breaks QProcess -auth optionalpam_gnome_keyring.so -auth optionalpam_kwallet.so -auth optionalpam_kwallet5.so @include common-account # SELinux needs to be the first session rule. [kmymoney4] [Bug 371069] New: CSV plugin mishandles UTF-16 files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371069 Bug ID: 371069 Summary: CSV plugin mishandles UTF-16 files Product: kmymoney4 Version: 4.8.0 Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based) OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: csvimporter Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org Reporter: agande...@gmail.com My credit card company has revised their web site, and the statement importing procedure and format has changed. The KMM CSV importer is not happy with this new format. All characters have an interspersed null character (I think, probably 00). Each line is followed by an additional line containing the same odd character. So, the import is incorrect. If I import via Libre Office Calc, all is correct. It is shown as UTF-16. If I load via Kate, this too looks wrong, unless I change the encoding from UTF-8 to UTF-16. In the CSV importer, however, changing the encoding from UTF-8 to UTF-16 makes no apparent difference and the original incorrect result still appears. Reloading an earlier file is as normal. So, it appears that the import encoding has changed and the CSV plugin does not handle it correctly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Import a CSV file encoded in UTF-16. 2. The file will show the incorrect format. 3. Actual Results: As above. Expected Results: The UTF-16 should be handled correctly. There may be more to this, however. When I tried to create a file in UTF-16, it could be imported correctly. So, to be able to demonstrate the problem, I have used a file from my credit card company, deleted everything except the first line and then added a new first line of "12-10-2016,Description,1234.56" Attachment follows. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[systemsettings] [Bug 370312] New colours KCM needs far too many mouse clicks to change a colour
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370312 --- Comment #4 from Jonathan Marten --- Take the point about having a separation of the scheme editor, but the fundamental problem is still the number of clicks now required. Unless, of course, the intention is to discourage users from changing individual colours and instead concentrate on predefined schemes only, but that would be a restriction of what was previously possible and there may well be adverse feedback from users. The current setup could be kept but the number of clicks still reduced by the scheme editor dialoge knowing whether it is being called from System Settings or standalone (by a command line option if necessary), and in the former case having buttons "Upload", "OK" and "Cancel" instead of the current ones. "OK" would save back the settings to the current scheme (the one that was selected in systemsettings when "Edit Scheme" was clicked) without any further interaction needed. When started standalone the editor would have the buttons and operation as now. Another click could be eliminated by the editor remembering the tab that was last used and selecting the same one when started again (currently the "Options" tab is always initially selected). Also, the parent KCM could remember the selected scheme while the editor dialog was open and not clear the list selection after it is closed. If all of these were implemented then the sequence to change a single colour would be reduced to: 1. Assuming that the current colour scheme is selected in the list, click Edit Scheme. 1½. In the dialogue that appears, select the Colours tab if necessary - only the first time 2. Click the colour button for the item to change, the colour picker opens. 3. Pick a colour by whatever means is wanted, then OK. 4. Click OK to close the editor dialogue. 5. Click Apply; the desktop colour scheme changes. This reduces the number of clicks from ten down to five. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 370951] Application Launcher consistently opens on wrong monitor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370951 --- Comment #3 from mike.h.gen...@gmail.com --- Created attachment 101620 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=101620&action=edit Submenu opens on wrong screen, Plasma 5.8 I've subsequently noticed this happening too. If I open a menu (whether from the panel or the desktop) on the right hand edge of the top monitor, and it has a submenu which would appear partly outside the monitor if it appeared to the right of the parent menu, it'll appear on the inbuilt laptop screen instead. Menus anywhere else on either screen don't seem to be affected. Should I open a separate bug, or wait to see if it turns out to be the same underlying cause? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[krita] [Bug 371037] Krita constantly freezes when painting, toggling between layers, or changing frames in animation timeline.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371037 Boudewijn Rempt changed: What|Removed |Added CC||b...@valdyas.org --- Comment #1 from Boudewijn Rempt --- Given that lots of people don't experience this issue, it's likely that it's something with your setup, of course. Could the pause be when Krita is autosaving? You can change the autosave interval to check, or disable it altogether. if so, are you saving to a network disk? Another possibility could be running out of ram, if you're making big animations with many layers and frames at a high channel depth, when the swap can start kicking in. You can check the memory settings for the maximum memory Krita can use and check the statusbar for a memory warning. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[systemsettings] [Bug 370312] New colours KCM needs far too many mouse clicks to change a colour
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370312 Olivier Churlaud changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #5 from Olivier Churlaud --- @Jonathan: You have a point here. We are actually not done. The first step was to split the edition from the selection. Now the edition dialog should not look like this anymore, but more like a sdk tool where you can really choose everything on the main page, actually see the changes on the fly etc. The buttons should disappear and have a tool bar + menu bar where you can have "save", "save as", ... This is still to be done: maybe we merged it too early, but I'm sure that otherwise, the work wouldn't have been merged anytime soon. So yes: there is still work to do on this, and mockups or other ideas are welcome :) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[krita] [Bug 370722] Krita crashes when choosing OK in the configuration window

Sounds like Krita gets confused because you've got two gpu's in your system. You should tell Windows to make Krita use the nvidia gpu. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=370951 --- Comment #4 from mike.h.gen...@gmail.com --- A clarification to the above: when I said 'moving the launcher icon on the panel had no effect' I misspoke - as you can probably guess from the screenshot, the launcher appears as close as it can to the right spot, but on the wrong screen. This holds true however I arrange my screens. Also, I tried switching to SDDM, but that didn't change anything.
