I do mine from the bottom up using a squirt can. Just put towels near
and
head room lacks about 2-inches on left side. Have abandoned the dream of
taking friends and Young Eagles for rides with this airplane. Were I a Ken
Rand sized person, no problem.
Next airplane will be a KR-2S with a big engine (Corvair or such), should I
live so long.

My recommendation: If you have any cable systems in your airplane, at every
condition inspection be sure to thoroughly inspect those cables at the
pulleys . That is where they flex and likely where they will fray.

All of the control cable fittings called out in the Australian AD are roll
crimped terminations. The internal areas of the terminals that grip the
cable are not visible for corrosion inspection. Nothing in the AD about
Nicopress or similar cable crimps.

I have been trying to pass my Medical for about ten
wing and conversation;
but visits with the panels open and cowl off for condition inspection
provide the best transfer, IMHO.

CG range numbers called out in the stock KR-2 Plans are wrong. Numbers
should be 6 to 14 inches.

I think when Dan Diehl tested the KR2 unidirectional glass legs that he

carb that has a practical mixture control. That new carb will probably not
have a choke; so, would need a primer system. Along with that would come
the hot start drama.

I have been doing a bit here and there to keep moving on the Dr. Dean custom
KR. Today I finished shaping all the fairing foam to the tail group. Took
adults
as well that day. Our Chapter total since the national inception by EAA in
1992 is 2208 Young Eagles flown. Don't know who enjoys this more, the

One hazard is pumping hydraulic fluid all over the master cylinder and
cockpit floor when the master cylinder overflows. Hard to get to tucked
away under the instrument panel. I wrap a rag around the master cylinder to
help catch the overflow.

Got the back-ordered brake bleeder valves from ACS; will replace the scuffed
bleeders while waiting for the epoxy to cure.
Yes, the brake slave cylinders will bleed more easily if the bleeder valve
is at the low point, but being down low will subject them to more runway
pavement abuse.

How did you align the wheels? Was there any sort of fixture you used?
experience with different performing aircraft. I obtained 6.1 hours
flying a Pulsar XP; that is very close to KR-2 tri-gear performance. That
still did not prepare me for the surprise when the elevator trim tab broke
at lift off rotation.

Looking for something to use for conduit
