Here is the problem. Steve says to use only Auto Fuel, Ellison says to use
only Aviation Fuel. I have a GPASC VW with an Ellison carb.
Now ain't that a catch22?
Yes, one of the really bad components of Auto Fuel can be alcohol.
I asked Ellison why they did not make their carb to hold up to Auto Fuel and
they told me that it was because they could not know what was in the auto fuel
and therefore could not test for it.

Jim,
I am using PPG Acrylic Enamel with hardener and no clear coat. The gun is a
Harbor Freight $79 HVLP. I will use around 1.5 gal of paint and I don't think
that I have it on heavy enough. My suggestion is to start with 2 gallons. On

Have you compared the weight of the two foams? I think the rigidity of the
foam is important. You could not put on one layer of glass on the wings, then

I use Hot Glue from a Hot Glue Gun, to stick foam to anything, including foam,

Most of the points that this poster made are valid and I usually do not re-post

the benefits of Hot Glue. Jerry introduced me to Hot Glue and it has become my
friend. ( now I don't need Jerry anymore LOL )

When I bought my first prop from Warnke, I tried to get him to tell me what the
torque was supposed to be and all he would tell me was to tighten them. So,
now, I just try to be sure that they are all snugged up real good and that they
are all as close to the "same" as I can make them.

Make one out of a piece of 2 X 4 X 1/8 aluminum angle. It will take you less
than 30 minutes to do.
I think that the plans describe bending a piece of aluminum to do it, but I
like the results using the angle, much better.
