It pains me to say it, but Ireland were definitely the worst team in the whole
tournament, closely followed by England - yes, even worse than Greece.
I can't watch an England match these days without a non-stop pass count in my
head: 1-2-3, ball lost and repeat... It is STAGGERING to see how
I have been given an LG W22435 Monitor, it powers up shows a perfect
image and then shuts down. Is it destined for the skip?

Just sounds like you have your 'resolution' set too high and the computer
graphics adapter cannot compete with it. Try the old monitor with basic
settings, then plug in the new monitor without altering the settings.
If that don't work, then try Eric's suggestion of swapping cables,
