First time I’ve ‘accepted’ the boring knock-it-around-at-the-back routine -
ultra-cautious but got a result, of sorts, and crucially we’re not chasing a
deficit.
Did Piroe actually touch the ball after coming on? And Summerville looks like
he’s on his holidays already? Another stupid booking
Total non event, a real damp squib, but given our recent form and defensive
frailties a decent outcome.
We had a game plan which we stuck to and it worked. Not sure why we seem unable
to waste time / take minutes out of the game as many teams have done against
us, but we looked comfortable
Agreed. Wagner's teams are always hard to play against but last night despite
them taking total control in the 2nd half, Miesler had nothing to do. It was
only a bit of panic late on in our defence that caused concern.
Also, I don't think I've ever seen a keeper go up for a free kick ? and why
A hard fought and forgettable match but another 3 pts - points we need to have
any chance of automatic promotion. They were a strange team , they had huge
periods of possession especially at the start of the second half, but seemed
content to just keep the ball a la Japp Stams Reading a few
Yeah, I get the “Soaraway Sun” irony; but in actual fact despite our despair
and then elation, for the neutral that was a great game, one of the best this
season, as I said, for the neutral; not being one of them, I hardly have any
voice or fingernails left.

Possibly the worst football match I have ever witnessed. Doncha hate Leeds
United they were completely clueless and Norwich were all over us.
Leeds United doncha love 'em. Norwich might look good but we were far better.
There is a really good team emerging here.

MARCHING ON TOGETHER
A few thoughts about last night.
I thought it was a momentous night for many reasons. First, everyone including
me was mightily pissed off with the team selection. How can we possible win a
game with Mowatt and Grimes in midfield and an attack that's hardly scored a
league goal this season?
