An interesting aside to all of this is that where only one parent is
entered, ie. the second parent is left blank, the children of the
person entered do not appear on the Individual Report of the parent. A
MRIN is created and the MRIN also appears against the child's record in

There are also several other freebie PDF readers which you can
download besides Adobe Reader. They're much smaller and quicker to
use than Adobe. I use PDF-XChange. FoxIt is also an excellent one.
Which every one you select will work well with previewing PDF reports
through Legacy.

I've always entered unknown simply because I didn't know this new
trick; however, as I've read this thread and considered it, I think I
will continue to use the unknown in the name field. I kind of like
that all of my unknown people are grouped together in the index so if

per the settings in Options Customize Data Format.
Because I have so many names and locations with mixed case, I have all

programs that fill gaps in areas that Legacy doesn't and are a great
