I whole heartily agree with JTF. It is not that uncommon to have more than one
child with the same name in the 17, 18, and early 1900's. One child might have
died as an infant or at a very early age and the next child (son or daughter as
the case might be) will be given the same name. Which some

Hi All
Occasionally you end up with a child or children entered twice under one
set of parents, obviously this is an error which needs correcting, so
what is the correct procedure - Delete the second entry or Unlink them
from these parents. I understand if you Delete them, then they will

Another thing I've missed or misunderstood ...
I'm producing fan charts, and I know that there are several duplicates, due to
second cousin marriages.
I have selected the Show Duplicates option on the Home tab of Legacy Charting,
and on the Appearance tab have settings for font, style and align

One question already: in 6.0, all the data is stored in the Legacy folder,

Barbara,
No one is forcing you to go to Windows 10 from Windows 7. There are ways
to stop being offered Windows 10 but you probably need someone more
familiar with computers to implement them. If they don't know how, they
can Google it.

When I do an ancestor report, I am getting several duplicates, and some

On Fri,
From your symptom you have one of two possible situations.
The most probable, since this is a descendant chart, is that you have a
circular link between people in your file. Someone is incorrectly linked
