I think My Heritage and Ancestry are similar in that they automatically direct debit your account each year, without notifying first. I understand it's all in the 'fine' print. I had a huge disagreement with them last year after they direct debited my account and I told them they were unscrupulous

Hi Pauline, You're talking about two totally different things - subscription to MyHeritage data etc. and FREE to upload DNA data from other companies if you're not a subscriber. It sounds like you were using MyHeritage Online to add to your tree and haven't been using the MyHeritage Family
