I vaguely remember this. One workaround that an enterprising colleague
found was to unmount CD1 and mount CD2 in the same place while the error
message is showing. Then the upgrade should continue.
The crux of the problem, I believe, was that an identifier in a file was

Just a thought - I believe the new sitar RPM was not built by SuSE. Also
Marcy mentioned the net-snmp RPM was built by Velocity Software. So
perhaps SPident is bad at math when it is comparing RPMs not built by

BUT, with winbind the Windows weenies either have to give you AD

I haven't solved the problem you describe, but a couple of ideas come to
mind:
1) The "userid map" smb.conf parameter - allows you map Windows user names
to Linux. Of course this is one more maintenance issue. Then you could
keep the users and passwords in the smbpasswd file.

I finally got SLES10 RC 3 installed. Thanks to William Scully for
recommending to take out the "InstNetDev", "OsaInterface" and "OsaMedium"
parameters. That was the only way I was able to get out of the starting
gate. Hopefully SuSE will fix that before GA.

I write to a disk on a "master" Linux and then want to link it read-only
on "clones". I use a LINK statement in the USER DIRECTory, use "(ro)" in

consensus was that it didn't work on s390[x]. I've never tried it.
