Are you going through a proxy server? Then the proxy must allow
the HTTP/1.1 CONNECT method. For squid, you need to add to squid.conf:

Exim or postfix. Sendmail is slow. Unless the newer versions have done a
major speed increase.
You wouldn't believe the speed increase with a well tuned sendmail install.
Besides, 8.12.x does pipelining ... which qmail / postfix / exim have

Instead of using source, I will strongly advise you to go for the package
(rpm on RH ).
Install the package, and most of the configuration hassles are taken care
off.
mysql installs coolly on most distro.
As regards interface, you can use php, cgi, perl, what ever suits you
fax message can be sent as attachment to email.

Hi,
This weekend I had huge problems with my hardware(on
home box)
Now that my linux distributions are
running(unfortuantely I have hda which I messed up
with Partition magic) I have lost my Slack7 and lots
of Linux downloads on it.
NOw when I shutdown the RH it halts after the stage of

see whether it gets compiled for on Oracle on Linux.
already I have done changes to make files and put
proper #defines in the code.
