Hi, I have noticed systemd slowing down my computer as well. There are some tweaks you can do to make it boot quicker. AFAIK this is mostly due to journctl logging excessively. This coupled with network manager eventually makes the system crawl. I could be wrong about this, but I think it

Hey Fritz, The best way to update grub is using the `update-grub` CLI utility. But you have to do it from the distro you installed grub with.  If you can remember which one you installed grub with, simply run that command using `sudo` and it should automatically detect the most recent kernel
