I have no problems in defining appendices (from the menu

There are two problems:
a. The appendices are listed in TOC, how can I prevent this?

in Windows 7(64bit) and want to try control version.
When I open lyx document (*.lyx) in control version folder (using
TortoiseSVN). The file that I open does not show that it is under

What I do in book(Koma script) class, by using Addchap environmet to write Part
I or anything like that in a book manuscript. It behaves like the chapter
environment, always in odd page (recto page).
The addchap will allso be automatically read in TOC.

I am preparing a report using book(KOMA script) class.
After the Title page, I write
TOC (insert - list/TOC - Table of Contents)
List of Figures (insert -list/TOC - List of Figures)
also I put another list (List of Examples), by writing ERT

I have been struggling to do this and now I have found a little trick, I use
this simple ERT command (LyX 1.5.5 - Ubuntu 8.04) inside the float:Table
\renewcommand\tablename {Tab.}
it works as expected, and I do similar thing to change the name of float figure
\renewcommand\figurename {Pi
In book(KOMA script), you can use Part environment, and page layout
double-sided document (document-setting-page layout). The part will be printed
(always) in odd/recto page, in front of the double-sided document.

This the way I fixed the problem LyX in Windows(XP) after installation.
Tools - Reconfigure: Package Installation Window will pop up.
Then select change to make sure you connecting to a the closest/fastest

I would like to write a formula (without number -left alignment)
If I use Insert-Math-Display Formula, it writes at the center.
If I use Insert-Math-Inline Formula, I can write at left alignment but
the formula becomes smaller also the lower and upper integral limits are
located at sides of
