donna, What do you like about the air over the pro?? Just wondering. I myself own a macbook air, with maxed out specs, and I love the thing! I do miss the control key on the right, though, sometimes, but none of the apple laptops have that, so I’ve just gotten used to not having it.. Cait >

Hi Cris, the MacBook Air would be my recommendation. It's light and small, very easy to carry around. It's plenty fast for browsing the web. I've had my Air since 2013. I may replace it this year or next, but as much as anything that's because I like new toys. :) It is in no way obsolete.
