Thunderbird lags behind Firefox for accessibility. They are just getting
going on making it accessible so some elements are readable but there
are empty tables where the message list and folders should be. I'm
hoping they will get that working someday soon.

Changing that setting in Mail is especially useful for those people using gmail
with the iMap protocol. Make sure that the gMail account is selected from the
