Hi,
What Mac app are people using to burn audio cds which can be played on a
conventional stereo?
Thanks

Hello Chris,
The best OCR app for Mac is ABBYY FineReader Express but I've never managed to
get it to scan more than one page at a time. For this reason, I use VueScan to
do the scanning part. It will scan multiple pages into one file that FineReader
can then process all at once.

Hi Anne
I too would like this scanning guide set up that you have. I think it will be
something useful to a lot of people. Thanks.

Hi,
I too once felt like that. Back on my Windows machine, I had all my music
and audiobooks organised into folders in Windows explorer just the way I
liked them. I would just play them from Windows explorer.
But I got over that.
I had to switch to iTunes mainly in order to sync with my

Anne, could you just post the guide somewhere public? If you hve a dropbox

Hi,
By default, Mail keeps track of related messages no matter which folder they
come from. This is new to ML. If you prefer not to have Mail behave this way,
go under the Mail Prefs, in the Viewing pane and uncheck the Include Related

Hi,
It sounds like you have multiple Outgoing servers with the same settings. Two
things to note here. First, you would not need to totally delete the account
then recreate it as you would most likely end up with the same issue. This
problem appears to be within your list of smtp Servers.

For quite some time, deaf-blind users of iDevices have been able to

This consists typically of an iDevice (iPod, iPad, or iPhone) paired

Hi,
Actually, that is not totally true. You can use the Apple TV with your HDMI

music, movies and TV shows via your Apple TV connected to the receiver. Other

Hello Alex,
I'll send you the document privately and you can post it wherever you like. I
think it might be out there already on one of the many useful websites. I have
a Website too, but it's in French.
As for DocuScan, it only works in English, so is no use to anyone using other
languages.
Newsrack is great. It's worth the price, in my opinion. I believe it's about
$19 in the app store.

Sounds good. Come to think of it, instead of me posting it, you should submit
it as a guide on Applevis, that way it is not only public, but searchable. If
you don't have an account there you can set one up easily, or I could post it
for you, either way.

I guess since I don't know Applescript I keep going to the shell. You
can set the rate and voice for the say command using various flags:
say -v Bruce help -r 400
So wouldn't you be able to do something like
os.system(say -v Bruce 'help' -r 400)
