Hi Scott. I appologize for that whole Apple Hater comment. I said that
because you were thinking of switching to Android but since you have three
Apple products I take that back. Yeah, when I updated my Itunes, I didn't like
a few things that it did. That whole grid view thing was stupid though
NO worries Shawn. Again, I know most software has its own flaws, and
while I'm glad iTunes is reasonably accessible, I just wish I wasn't
required to use it. Oh well, I'm about to load my iPhone on my new
Macbook air, and from what I've read, it should be a more enjoyable
experience than working
Hi Kim.
I understand that it wasn't you who was saying that, I appologize for
not addressing whoever that was directly. I'm glad to be on this list
and hope I can offer more help than asking for it once I'm fully up
and running. The mac can be frustrating at times, though I'm sure this
is because
Join the club, I have a love/hate relationship with it myself, especially sense
it does this wonderful thing, where it loves to play all my songs out of order
some of the time when, for example, I have an album that's by various artists,
and I want the album tracks played in chronological
That is because your tracks are not correctly identified as far as iTunes is
concerned. Yu can fix this by doing cmd-i in iTunes on each track and changing
the track number but if you have a lot of misidentified or not-identified
albums like I do, that is easier said than done. I think I would
Hi all.
Kim: I'll have to look into syncing iCloud with my documents, I have
Pages for iOS, but not the Mac. I'm quite new to the Mac world, so I'm
still trying to get on my feet from that perspective. I love how you
can use braille displays to essentially control the entire computer,

Scott,
I hope that you realize that the Apple Hater comment was not from me nor any
part of my responses to you. My intent was to understand where you were coming
from with your iTunes frustrations and to provide any assistance and/or
clarifications that could help you with the use of iTunes.
agreed, and thanks for bringing it up. I don't think we need to start in with
the divisive Mac vs PC stuff. It only causes needless upset and stifles
communication.
I have no brand loyalty to Apple or Microsoft - it's all too ridiculous. I just
want to get stuff done and whoever makes that
I'm not an iTunes fan. In fact, if Android ever gets their
acessibility act together, it will be the biggest reason I change from
an Apple portable device to an Android one. Why should I have to run a
piece of bloated software to simply transfer data from my computer to
my phone? Yes, there are
Hmmm, interesting prospective. To each their own I guess. I may regret
commenting on this but, oh well.
I, too, am perfectly capable of organizing my music and other media, but if I
can automate the process through iTunes, then all the power to me. I've got
enough things to do in my life
Hi Kim.
I can certainly understand the DRM issues, and I know that managing
your collection through the library can be easier, and with iTunes
specific content it certainly is, but one should not be forced to use
iTunes if they do not wish. For example, if I have a text file that

Hi Scott,
Fair enough. I understand your frustration with those sorts of documents.
Before iCloud and Google Drive, I found it problematic using iTunes to access
documents on my iPhone/iPad. As a matter of interest, using iCloud, and/or
Google Drive you can easily share documents between
Hmmm, sounds like we have another Apple hater on our hands. Good luck with
hoping for Android to improve accessibility. As for the guy that had an issue
with using Itunes with his iPod, if you find anything else besides Itunes, I'd
love to hear it, because like it or not, we're stuck with what
I don't think this question was all that bad. I've lost the ability to
manually sync my iPhone to iTunes 11. So, at this rate, I may have to look for
an alternative as well. Also, I'm becoming more disenfranchised with the Apple
Paradigm lately as well. I want more of my music library on my
I agree. I don't think it's a bad question at all.
Also, many people get accessibility confused with personal choice. If my
personal choice is something that is not Apple, it doesn't mean I'm a hater.
It's a personal choice.
I too am not very happy with iTunes. This has been the case from day
hey all please can some one recommend an accessable itunes alternative
that will let me manage my current iTunes libary ipod and iPhone?
your help with this question would be most welcome kind regards

In my opinion, and this is my opinion only, you may as well dig in and learn
iTunes because there is nothing to compare to it. And, it is really quite
easy to use with almost total accessibility.

Hi,
There are accessible alternatives for managing your music and other media on
the Mac such as VLC, but I'm pretty sure that you won't find much that will
allow for the syncing that iTunes does between Apple devices. You may be able
to play purchased iTunes Music with other players but I
i don't understand wh in the world would someone use second best over best in
terms of accessibility, usability and compatibility, honestly.

Nothing is as accessible as iTunes in my opinion. It is the best in
terms of accessibility and is even better with the release of iTunes 11.
Is there anythig we can do to convince you to stay with iTunes?
