I want to create a map to display density of points. I have a table with 700
odd records which occur across a wide area. I would like the map to display
the density/concentration of these points.
This is very simple to do in ArcView by generating a grid, but I am unsure
how to go

set up intersects with a Polyline. If the intersection occurs at a node, I
can find out the coords. However, I'm having great difficulty thinking of

I like Jacques suggestion about creating an mbx that modifies the MI menus, but there is an easier way. Just edit the MAPINFOW.MNU file with a text editor. Those with only the most rudimentary understanding of MapBasic will not have a problem rearranging the commands. 80

refers to a sub that is declared but not actually present. As an example,
