Noise is prevalent only on light acceleration. I don't know whether turning
has any effect.
I can also minimize the noise by moving the shift lever a bit.

Does anyone know where I can find a reasonably priced glow plug
chamber reamer for an OM606 motor? The only one I've found is by
Klann and costs $160 through Samstag Sales. I'm sure its quality is
excellent, but I'm not going to use it often enough that I need the

of these by just using the timing marks on the cam, injection pump and

I know others have said a new MB crate engine is the only way to go -- my
question is how long would the original, damaged engine last?

If you know how wide it's supposed to be, hammer a glow plug
flat until it's the right width.

Just got on this group and got a question.
Was gifted a '78 450SLC and the headlights
don't work except when the high beam flash
switch is operated. This puts the failure in the
light switch or hi/lo beam switch circuit.
