Replacing W123 blower motor brushes is NOT a DIY job for the inexperienced! I ordered those brushes a few years back from George Murphy. I took the motor apart to install them, and soot leaked out all over the place. Besides, the brushes have to be hard wired in and I was not up to the task. I

I remember riding a motorcycle in Phoenix summer. The heat would radiate up off the roadway and raise the temp well over ambient. This is when you really feel the heat of your engine too. I recall on one trip from Tucson to Phx, I said to a gas station guy that I never want to see the sun again.

You would hear that from a Benz mechanic as well.. most of them will tell you the more complex and expensive a car is, the better chance of something going wrong. Besides if you pay attention to the car requirements?for maintainence (and each vehicle is different) it shouldn't break. Harry
