Since I didn't get the car started I worked on the LR window, which was down and wouldn't move. Looked like the PO had started to take it apart and gave up. Having considerable experience in windows I got it apart right quick and saw a busted plastic slide. I fortunately had one (2

Or, if you already have a clamp on type ammeter, there is an accessory that you can get that essentially splits the lines so that you can measure the one side. (or you could easily make one by taking an extension cord and splitting it down the seam so that you can clamp on to only the one half

Anyone know how to determine power consumption on a Win7 machine? Is there a built-in software that does that, or do I need to install something? I'd like to get a general idea of overall power usage, but it would be nice to drill down a bit further to see how much is display, hard drive, etc.

Lube the pins that the caliper slides on. I'd assumed the calipers in Angie's Golf were bad since one sticked, when I replaced them the replacement stuck the same way. Turns out the pins on that one were stuck. It took some heat to get the pin free... -Curt From: Randy Bennell via

MA has an interesting mix of gun laws ranging from daconian to no big deal. For the most part its no big deal, to get an FID (for ownership of long guns, rifles and shotguns) you take a safety class, fill out a form and pay a fee, no big whoop and a safety class is probably a good idea for most

For those of you far enough south that you don't swap to winter tires and rims, it might be a good idea to pull the wheels and have a look at the brakes. I put the summer wheels and tires back on the Civic and the Accord this weekend. The Civic looked fine. 3 out of 4 wheels on the Accord
