The 300CD could be a very good deal. Most oil leaks are easy to fix.
Also, I need your head...cylinder head from the 220D, that is, for my 220D
project.

I've heard of. It's just when compared to the engines, which are

Couldn't it also be the turbo drain tube seals? losing a qt every 40 miles
would indicate that it's high pressure oil loss or maybe even burning it
although oil CONSUMPTION wasn't mentioned.

Around here in New England 300CD's do seem to be rare. Fellow lister
John Peterson and I found one-a good 15 foot car-but had window seal
issues, trany had shift and slip issues-some of the slip may hve been
