Your SDL transmission has a vacuum modulator on the side, which might be different for a gasser? Maybe the gearing is different, or the stall rating of the torque converter? I know that for some years, the gasser transmissions would launch in 2nd gear vice 1st? - Max Charleston SC O

I am convinced that should I ever need a transmission I will get one from Sun Valley. I have heard so many positive things about these guys over the years that I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. A W124 rebuilt transmission from them is $1750. Transmission R&R is pretty straightforward
