Well it is about 20ft up above the kitchen space so it doesn't stir up much cruft but just sorta gently stirs the air a bit to get warm air down from the peak in the winter, which makes a big difference.  I usually have it on idle thrust not takeoff thrust so it doesn't stir much else up.
