Hi, Everyone,
I just received notification from eBay that as of June 1st, all packages
sent out by Sellers will be required
to have a tracking number...all packages. Even some guy in Podunk U.S.A.
who sends out 100 packages a day, each one containing a near-worthless
trinket he's sold
Rick
if you get your postage at Paypal, tracking #'s are free for priority mail
not sure if it is for first class or not
but everyone should use tracking numbers anyway

Hi, Rich,
Hey, I have nothing against tracking numbers. In fact, I use them
quite a bit. The thing that bothers me is how an edict is being passed down

eBay. I think the decision should be up to the seller. Guess I just don't

And this could be the end of international shipping for a lot of items

affordable method for shipping something of small or moderate value,

This is an impact for INTL shipments. No longer will I be able to offer
11.00 shipping. HUGE impact to INTL shipping rates.

Hi, Rich,
I just spoke with a rep at PayPal and she said that they do not provide
a free tracking number if a package is sent through them, whether it's sent
by Priority or not. She said the fee through them is exactly the same as
you pat through the Post Office, which is 70 cents.
I think I was told at the Post Office it costs an extra $11.95 for an
international tracking number. Does that sound right?

Wait guys,
As of yesterday, using the feature when you click on items sold on EBAY and
click add tracking link that is on every sold item listed, I have been able

form, or the larger form for priority) on overseas

you are correct, however the key is for international buyers to buy
alot over a 30 day period (from one seller) and have it all shipped
at one time, which would also mostly necessitate Priority Mail
shipping as any package 4lbs or more can only be sent that way

I'm suspecting that when you purchase postage through PayPal you don't the
free tracking and deliver confirmation that USPS.com provides. USPS also
discounts the postage so that it's cheaper to buy it on-line rather than buy
it at the local post office in the company of a totally unpleasant postal
This release makes it sound as if it's not mandatory to have tracking #s for
all purchases but if you don't, you won't be able to be a top-rated seller
